We have created this blog so that our friends and family can be part of the journey that we have set out on recently.
Over the past year Shelley has been really praying about the desire she has had to adopt from China. After a serious talk with her hubbi about 6 months ago, we decided to pray together and see where the Lord led us. Through a series of events and answered prayer i have finally come around :). On Saturday October 1st, Shelley and I drove to Columbia, SC to attend a seminar sponsored by AWAA (our adoption agency). On the way home i expressed to Shelley that i was ready to jump in with both feet and trust that God would provide the way. So thus begins our journey . . .
I would ask of our family and friends to begin praying for our family as we begin down the path of adopting a baby girl from China. Please pray specifically for:
- paperwork process would go as smooth as possible
- God's hand of protection and comfort for our new little girl (Sophie)
- God would provide the finances needed for this process
- wisdom and understanding for our children in this exciting time
- patience (that one is for me :) )
- God would be glorified
