Well we are smack dab in the middle of the "paperwork" stage. We have completed getting doctor exams, birth certificates on all of us, marriage license, and half-way thru the home study. Next week we have another home study visit and we will be working on getting passports, employment letters, and our family application letter together. Continue to pray that we will be able to get all these documents in a timely manner.
We are leaving early on Thanksgiving vacation to go to Charleston and submit our paper work to the U.S. immigration office and have our fingerprinting completed. This process is one of the most important parts on the U.S. side, pray that things will go smoothly and that the approval will not be delayed.
We also request that you pray for our Adoption Coordinator, Laurel Ludwick, as she assists us in the process. (She is going to need it working with me :) )
Once the home study is completed (probably in the next 2 weeks) we can start applying for certain grants for some financial assistance. Pray for Shelley and I as we decide who to submit applications to and that the Lord's Will will be accomplished in this area.
