Well we leave this afternoon for Charleston and our Thanksgiving vacation. Tomorrow at 1:45 is our appointment with immigration. Please pray that everything goes smoothly at our appointment. Also pray that Shelley and I will have some much needed relaxation on this trip and get "recharged" for the second half of our dossier requirements.
Last Thursday we had our 3rd of four homestudy visits. It went very well, i am assuming since our interviewer was in tears after one of our stories of how we knew we wanted to adopt :). We should have our "rough" draft of the homestudy in about three weeks for us to review, then our 4th visit and a "final" copy will be completed. Once that all happens the home study is sent to US and China offices for certification which takes about 2 months.
Yesterday was our Anniversary Service at church. What a blessing to worship God and give thanks for everything he has done for us. I want to give thanks to God for leading us in this direction and showing his hand of provision on us. I received a call from our church on Friday telling us that between what our church does for families adopting and an anonymous giver we have $3,000 designated for our adoption!!! WOW, praise the Lord.
